GATEWAY WEATHERIZATION INVITATION TO BID
This is an invitation to bid for the following job numbers are listed below in table. Up for bid is Mechanical bid measures for HVAC/Electrical contractors only. All jobs will describe if labor or labor and material will be up for bid per job. Or if material will be provided by Gateway Community Action WX. All bids should be received by the closed date and time listed for each job to be eligible. Bids can be dropped/mailed to Gateway Community Action located at 151 University Drive, West Liberty, KY 41472 ATTN: Evan O’Neal.
Email evan.oneal@gatewaycaa.org to request a Bid Packet for any of the open jobs or if you have any questions.
Packets that are hand delivered or mailed must be in a sealed envelope with the word BID and the job number on the front. Bid packets will be opened no later than three days after they are due. All bid award notifications will be sent out to all contractors that return a bid for each job and contractors that are listed on Gateway Weatherization’s approved contractor list. Scope of Work
Remove the old exhaust fan and install a new ashrae fan and vent to outside and insulate the pipe through the roof. Install blank switch insert in wall. Replace all receptacles in the kitchen and ones in the dining room and bedroom that need to be replaced. Change all old can lights to new LED can lights. Complete HVAC clean and tune

Scope of Work
Install New Smart Thermostat and Connect to new HVAC Unit. Replace existing HVAC equipment with 10Kw furnace and 2 ton heat pump, run new wire to heat pump, and make sure to seal furnace plenum very well. Run new drain line to outside of underpinning. Size breakers according to data plate and Install New Non Fuse Disconnect . Build sheet metal box to set on top of furnace around new a coil and seal to furnace and seal plenum below the furnace with mastic very well. Install filter grill and patch bottom with sheet metal to allow furnace door to come off. Seal line set penetrations. Add over flow safety switch to a-coil drain pan and insulate entire drain line and tape seams where insulation meets with line set tape. Install ASHRAE Fan In Bathroom, no existing fan so will have to make new pass through the roof and run new wiring. Insulate piping in attic then Terminate Pipe through roof and install roof cap and seal with silicone. Seal Inside trailer around fan after Install to Air Seal. Repair Leak in Kitchen water supply line, it will need cut and a SharkBite valve installed, then run pex stub off of valve and connect the metallic 3/8 supply line to pex line with SharkBite coupling, then run 3/8 supply to sink. Repair sink drain line leak in crawlspace with 2in PVC and PVC Couplings, leak needs cut out and coupled back together. Make sure to verify all leaks have been stopped after repairs. Install Cover on Breaker Box Panel. Put loose wire in living room/ Kitchen in junction box and also loose wires in hallway. Remove Outdoor Driveway light that is ran from extension cord. Remove Front Porch Light and wire that is stealing power and install new front porch light correctly. Remove old Wire from crawl that is hanging loose and also a wire that is hanging from exterior of trailer where old light or appliance was. Install receptacle covers on octagon boxes in stone wall. Replace all receptacles, covers and boxes except in corner of kitchen. Install 2 GFCI covers in kitchen. Replace 2 switches and 5 switch covers.

INSTALL NEW ASHRAE FAN IN MASTER BATH LOCATED TO LEFT BEFORE GOING INTO BASEMENT, SWITCH WILL ALSO NEED REPALCED WITH BLANK INSERT FOR FAN TO RUN CONTINUOUSLY , RUN PIPING ALL THE WAY THROUGH ROOF AND INSTALL ROOF CAP AND SEAL.INSULATE ALL PIPING GOING THROUGH ATTIC SPACE TO R8. ALSO SEAL AROUND FAN AND CEILING INSULATING AIR SEALING. REPAIR LIGHT SWITCH IN FRONT OF CAZ AREA, IS CURRENTLY COVERED WITH PINK DUCT TAPE. REPAIR LEAK IN MASTER BATHROOM SINK WITH A NEW P-TRAP AND INSTALL THREAD TAPE ON SHOWER HEAD IN GUEST BATHROOM TO STOP WATER DRIPPING. REPAIR HOLE IN COPPER DRAIN LINE WITH SHARK BITE COUPLING.

INSTALL MISSING RECEPTACLE COVERS AND COVERS FOR OLD HARDWIRED SMOKE ALARMS THAT ARE NOW MISSING. REPLACE BREAKER FOR HEATPUMP AS IT CALLS FOR A 20 BUT CURRENTLY HAS A 30. INSTALL OUTDOOR RECEPTACLE COVER ON FRONT PORCH.

Install New ASHRAE fan in bathroom. Vent through roof and install roof cap, make sure to seal cap with silicone. All piping through ceiling must be insulated. Wire for continuous run and seal around fan inside. REPLACE 3 LIGHT FIXTURES, 2 ARE HANGING FROM CEILING, ONE HAS WENT BAD AND IS FLICKERING. THERE ARE 2 PORCH LIGHTS OUTSIDE, ONE IS BROKE AND THE OTHER IS STEALING POWER FROM THAT LOCATION, REMOVE LIGHT STEALING POWER AND INSTALL NEW PORCH LIGHT IN ORIGINAL LOCATION. REPLACE 3 RECEPTACLES ALONG WITH NEW BOXES AND COVERS AND ONE 2 GANG SWITCH NEEDS REPLACED ALONG WITH COVER PLATE IN HALLWAY . CHANGE OUT BREAKER FOR HOT WATER HEATER TO CORRECT 30 AMP SIZE AND INSTALL A NONFUSE DISCONNECT.

Replace existing thermostat with new programmable thermostat and wire to new HVAC unit. REPLACE 3 EXISTING LIGHT FIXTURES WITH NEW LED VERSION, 2 ARE IN THE KITCHEN AND ONE IS IN THE HALLWAY . REPLACE CEILING FAN IN LIVING ROOM WITH NEW LED VERSION.

ROMEX CONNECTOR IS NEEDED AT HOT WATER HEATER. DWH IS CURRENTLY ON 25 AMP BREAKER AND NEEDS SWITCHED TO A 30 AMP .

REMOVE EXISTING VENTING FROM GUEST BATHROOM FAN AND REPLACE WITH APPROVED MATERIALS, FAN MUST BE VENTED TO THE OUTSIDE , INSULATED AND ROOF CAP INSTALLED.SEAL ALL PENETRATIONS WITH SILICONE. REPAIR LIGHT SWITCH IN GUEST BATHROOM. INSTALL ROUND BLANK OVER WIRED SMOKE DETECTOR IN HALLWAY. REPLACE GFCI RECEPTACLE TO THE LEFT OF FRIDGE. REPLACE RECEPTACLE, COVER AND BOX BEHIND FRIDGE , BY THE FRONT WOODEN DOOR AND 2 OTHERS THAT HAVE CRACKED COVERS. REPLACE LIGHT IN HALLWAY WITH BAD SOCKETS. INSTALL NEW ASHRAE FAN ON MASTER BATH, RUN NEW WIRE TO PANEL BOX AS OLD FAN SMELT LIKE IT WAS BURNING. VENT FAN THROUGH ATTIC TO OUTSIDE OF ROOF, THEN INSTALL ROOF CAP AND SEAL WITH SILICONE. ALSO SEAL INSIDE HOUSE AROUND FAN HOUSING TO PREVENT AIR LEAKS. CHANGE SWITCH TO BLANK AND SET FAN FOR CONTINUOUS RUN.
